Behavioral coaching targets the elimination of negative behavior. Your Role: Express concerns, learn, and implement that learning. Our Role: To listen, teach, and encourage. We help you identify unhealthy thought patterns and understand how those thoughts contribute to self-destructive behaviors and beliefs. Once the patterns are known, we work with you to think more constructively. General goals are to: Focused on increasing the person's engagement in positive or socially reinforcing activities. CBC - Cognitive Behavioral Coaching


It focuses on eliminating psychological distress. Your Role: Express concerns, learn, and implement that learning. Our Role: We do not tell our clients what to do, rather, we search for client strengths and use them to teach their clients how to do. General goals are to: The promotion of self-awareness and emotional intelligence by teaching clients to “read” their emotions and distinguish healthy from unhealthy feelings. Helping clients understand how distorted perceptions and thoughts contribute to painful feelings. Aversive Conditioning (Beginner)


To stop unwanted behavior: Something unpleasant, or a punishment. Aversive conditioning uses an unpleasant stimulus to stop undesirable behavior. We apply this technique to eliminate addictive behaviors, such as smoking, nail-biting, and drinking. Your Role: Followthrough, commitment, cooperation. Our Role: Introduction of some unpleasant elements to the process. General goals are to: ​ Training the brain to associate a behavior or action with something unpleasant. Rational Emotive Behavior Coaching


It helps you identify self-defeating thoughts and feelings, challenge the rationality of those feelings, and replace them with healthier, more productive beliefs. Your Role: Takes an active role in restructuring thoughts after they have accepted that their irrational beliefs are responsible for negative emotions or behaviors. Learn how to apply logical thought to their lives, participate in experiential exercises, and do assigned behavioral homework. Our Role: Identify irrational beliefs and negative thought patterns that may lead to emotional or behavioral issues such as: addictive behaviors, phobias, overwhelming feelings of anger, guilt, or rage. Life Coach

Life Coaching is not about giving advice. Life Coaching provides the framework, based on individual fears, beliefs, and motivation that allows one to examine different aspects of their life. We encourage you to take a closer look at your life and help examine your life paths and progress towards goals.

 

However, the coaching relationship is designed by both of us and maybe defined by each of us in the giving and receiving of feedback.  Although I am committed to the process, it still remains your personal responsibility to take action (or not take action) as you desire.
